File Transfers

When you need to move a copy of a file from your computer to the remote system or vice versa, you need to use one of Autolog's file transfer commands.

AUTOLOG supports a number of different file transfer protocols:

SMT proprietary protocol: fast, buffered protocol with compression
ZMODEM
YMODEM batch and YMODEM-g
XMODEM, XMODEM-1K, XMODEM-CRC, and XMODEM-g
Kermit file transfers (with server support)
XON/XOFF text-only file transfers (no error correction)
"No protocol" text-only file transfers (no error correction)

The file transfer command you select determines which protocol is used. The type of remote computer and the file transfer protocols supported by the remote software determine which protocol will be best suited for your file transfer.
