press

The press command can be used to simulate a user pressing the copy or put keys, which are used to toggle on or off get and send, respectively. This is useful in script files, when a user won't be present or won't be in talk mode to press the key.

The press command is entered like this:

press key setting

The key indicates which keys you want to "press," copy or put. The setting can be on, off, or toggle; this argument indicates whether you want to turn the copy or put key (and correspondingly, get or send) on or off, or whether you just want to toggle its state (i.e., turn it on if it was off, or vice versa). For example:

press copy on
press put toggle
