encode Switch
The encode switch causes Autolog to encode
all control characters during a ZMODEM file transfer.
Use this switch when your communications channel cannot pass all characters
transparently (e.g., when your modem or the remote modem absorbs the XON
and XOFF characters or uses them for flow control).
The encode switch adds substantial overhead, slowing down file
transfers, so use it only when necessary.
The encode switch can be used with these file transfer commands:
ztransmit and zreceive
