These switches can be used to select a batch or group of files to transfer based on their creation date or time (cdate), their update date or time (udate), or their backup date or time (bdate ).
Not all operating systems record all three
dates or use the same time standard. Refer to the Autolog Installation and
Platform Guide
for information about how date and time comparisons are made.
Dates and times are preceded by a colon (:) in this format:
You may specify just the date, just the time (which must be preceded by the @
character), or both a date and a time:
The before and after switches are used to extend the specified date or time. Without the before and after switches, only files whose appropriate dates and/or times exactly match your specification will be transferred.
Examples:
With the bdate switch, you can specify + instead of a date or
time to indicate all files that have never been backed up and therefore have a
blank backup date and time field:
