yreceive

Use the yreceive command to get (download) copies of files from the remote system onto your system using YMODEM batch protocol. (Use ytransmit to upload files using YMODEM protocol.)

To use yreceive, you will usually need to follow these steps:

  1. Start the remote system's YMODEM file transfer program. (Your manual for using the remote system or the remote system operator will be able to help you with this and with the next two steps.)
  2. Make sure the remote YMODEM settings are appropriate.
  3. Use the appropriate command(s) to tell the remote system to send a file or group of files using YMODEM batch protocol.
  4. Press the change key to return to Autolog's command prompt.
  5. Enter the command:
yreceive

You can rename the files as they are received by using an equal sign:
