xnet

The xnet option allows transmit and receive file transfers to work over X.25 networks, such as Sprintnet. The xnet option can also be used to encode XON/XOFF characters so that transmit and receive will work over networks or modems that use control-S and control-Q for software flow control or that discard these characters.

Turn the xnet option on or off with the command:

xnet true or false

While xnet is on, certain special characters and character sequences are encoded so that they can be transferred by transmit or receive over a packet-switching network that cannot transfer all characters transparently as is normally required. xnet can also be used when either the remote or local modem is not passing the XON and XOFF characters transparently. The xnet option will slow down file transfers, so it should be used only when necessary.

Note Old versions of Slave for AMOS [earlier than 3.1(80)] do not support the xnet option.
