terse

The terse option allows you to turn off Autolog's full command mode screen. This is handy if you're using Autolog with system-level scripts or some Autolog script files, under a job controller, or at other times when minimal screen activity is desirable.

Turn terse mode on or off with the command:

terse true or false

When terse is on, Autolog's command prompt will indicate that you're in command mode:

>

Talk mode will still be indicated by the message:

Entering TALK mode - press [change key] to return to command mode

To see Autolog's full command display without leaving terse mode, use the show command:

show status

You can start Autolog up in terse mode by using the /t (or -t) switch when you start Autolog:

autolog/t
