kermit receive
Use the kermit receive command to get (download) copies of files from
the remote system onto your system using Kermit protocol.
(Use kermit send to upload files using Kermit
protocol.)
To use kermit receive, you will usually need to follow these steps:
-
Start the remote system's Kermit file transfer program while in talk mode.
(Your manual for using the remote system, or the remote system operator, will
be able to help you with this and with the next two steps.)
-
Make sure the remote Kermit settings are appropriate.
-
Use the appropriate command(s) (send filenames) to tell the remote system to
send a file or group of files using Kermit protocol.
-
Press the change key to return to Autolog's command prompt.
-
Enter the command:
kermit receive
You can rename the files as they are received by using an equal sign:
kermit receive *.new =
If the kermit set autoreceive option is turned
on, you can skip steps 3 and 4. kermit set autoreceive
turns on Kermit auto-download, so the file transfer will start automatically
when the remote side begins to transfer the file(s).
kermit receive can use these file transfer switches
to control which files are transferred:
