hangup

The hangup command tells Autolog to hang up the modem. Autolog does this two ways. First, Autolog pulses the hang-up signal (DTR) in your modem cable. If this signal is connected, and the modem is set up to hangup on loss of DTR, this is sufficient to hang up the modem.

Next, if you've used the modem at command to tell Autolog what kind of modem you're using, Autolog will send the appropriate "hang up" command to the modem.

The hangup command also causes an entry of your call to be written in the phone log file.

Note The finish command automatically does a hangup. You need to use hangup only when you want to end one modem call and place another without exiting Autolog.
