The different switch lets you transfer only files that don't already exist on the destination system and files that differ in size or in date and time.

The different switch can be used with these file transfer commands:
 

ztransmit and zreceive

Note You may not use the different switch at the same time as the append, hash, longernewer, newer, or nodelete switches.
