close

The close command closes an open get file. Once you close the get file, nothing more can be recorded in it unless you open it again with the append command. You can use the close command if you want to type, print, erase, or move the get file, or do other file management tasks that you can do only to a completed, closed file.

Autolog will automatically close the get file when you end your session with a finish or a quit command.

Under AMOS, the following commands will also automatically close your get file:

help  dialer  dir  system

Using another get command closes the existing get file and opens the new get file. If your get file is closed when you don't want it to be, you can reopen it with the append command.
