Beginning a Communications Session

1. Start the Autolog program with the autolog command.
2. Specify which modem to use with the link port name command.
3. Adjust the baud rate, duplex, or other communications settings as needed.
4. Specify the modem type with the modem at command.
5. Use the dial phone number command to place a call.
6. When the remote modem answers, you'll see the message:
   
   
Entering TALK mode

and you're ready to sign on and use the remote system!
7. Press the current change key to return to Autolog's command mode to transfer files, hangup and place another call, or finish when you're done.
